Creative by Nature Forest Camps in Galway give children the chance to explore the woodland through forest skills, nature art and crafts, den building, free play, nature games and outdoor cooking, while developing communication, physical, social and problem-solving skills.
Camps take place in Kilcornan Woods, Clarinbridge, an ideal setting for outdoor activities during the school holidays. Camps are led by experienced Forest School Leaders with backgrounds in environmental education, music, bushcraft, yoga and heritage.

Explore
Explore the woodland, noticing plants, animals and seasonal changes, with plenty of fresh air and time to explore.

Nature art and crafts, den building, hammocks and hands-on activities using natural materials.

Halloween Forest Camp
27 – 29 OCTOBER 2026
3 days · 10am–2pm · Kilcornan Woods, Clarenbridge · Ages 5–10
Three days of outdoor forest adventure over the Halloween mid-term, in the same woodland each day. Children explore the woods as autumn turns, notice what is changing around them, and spend the days building, making, playing and resting outdoors.
Days are led by the children and the season; what they find, what the weather is doing, what they want to keep working on.

Who leads the camps?
Creative by Nature is owned and operated by Siobhán Sloane, a qualified Forest School Leader and Heritage in Schools Specialist. Her approach is rooted in outdoor learning, creativity and helping children build a lasting connection with the natural world.

Practical information
What age are the camps for?
Camps are for children aged 5–10.
What should my child wear?
Weatherproof clothes, sturdy boots, a packed lunch and a water bottle. We recommend sending children in old clothes that can get muddy.
What happens if the weather is cold or rainy?
The camps take place outdoors in all weather, so please make sure your child is dressed for Irish weather. We’ll adapt activities to suit the conditions.

Summer holiday camps take place in Kilcornan Woods, Clarinbridge, Co. Galway. Exact drop-off and collection details will be sent after booking.
